MASTERING THE ART OF SOUND
Platform Studio was formed in 1999 by professional musician Damon Sawyer and is located near Reading in Hurst, Wokingham. Our aim is to provide a comfortable, affordable, accessible and unique recording experience.Over the past decade we have worked with many different artists and bands including Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake, Moody Marsen Band), Frank Tontoh (Amy Winehouse, Craig David, George Michael), Marmalade and Gary Nuttall (Robbie Williams) to name just a few. Most recently we had the pleasure of working with legendary Blues producer Mike Vernon (Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, John Mayall and Level 42), creating two albums for German crossover Blues label Ruf Records. The first album for Oli Brown, recently announced as the 2010 British Blues Awards 'Male Vocalist of the Year' and 'Young Artist of the Year' on his current album 'Heads I Win, Tails You Lose' and the second album 'Shine' by Dani Wilde recorded and mixed by Damon Sawyer. Both of which are currently receiving rave reviews.
At Platform Studio we feel that a recording studio should provide bands and artists with an environment that allows them to create and perform to their maximum potential.Because of this, we have worked hard to create a recording studio that offers visitors a relaxed, affordable and professional experience.
